Drake-“Best I Ever Had”

Drake doesn’t even have a debut album out yet and is currently creating quakes in the fault lines of the music industry with his mixtape, So Far Gone. Last week he had two singles in the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100 chart with “Best I Ever Had” and “Every Girl” with the group Young Money (Lil Wayne, Jae Millz, Gudda Gudda, and Mack Maine).

Aubrey “Drake” Graham grew up in front of our eyes playing Jimmy on “Degrassi: The Next Generation (This will always be one of my favorite shows!).” In the show he was always an aspiring musician and is now fufilling those dreams in reality. On Monday, Drizzy signed a joint independent record contract to Aspire Music Group and Young Money Entertainment.

In addition, artists all across the industry are collaborating with him, including: Lykke Li, Trey Songz, Peter Bjorn, and Santigold. I’ve been digging his version of Lykke Li’s “Little Bit” for months now. His debut album, Thank Me Later, will hopefully be out by the end of the year. MTV also sat down with Drake and so did All Things-Fresh to talk about his record deal, his ACL injury, and the BET Awards. The highly anticipated video for “Best I Ever Had” also just dropped directed by our favorite entrepreneur, Kanye West. Check it out!
