Menomena. Not just for Muppets anymore. The Oregon-based band will make you forget Mother Nature’s April fool’s gag of a snow storm as you get lost in the dense instrumentation that intertwines with and loops around all of the band mates’ shifting vocals. Perfection. Not only does the music inspire but the cover art on Friend and Foe is absurd and interactive and completely worth your while to explore. Menomena has a unique sound but has been known to cover Flaming Lips and is doing a few shows with Bloc Party this year. Rumors have talked about a new release, so keep those eyes peeled.
